Listing types

Auction: bid against other buyers until time runs out. Snipers (last-second bidders) often win, so eBay's automatic max-bid feature is your friend.

Buy It Now: fixed price, click to purchase.

Best Offer: like Buy It Now, but you can submit a lower offer the seller can accept, counter, or decline.

Check the seller

Click the seller name above the price. Look at:

• Feedback % — anything below 98% deserves a closer read of recent reviews.
• Recent comments — sort by negative.
• Account age — established sellers are safer for high-value items.
• Top Rated / eBay Plus badges — eBay's vetted-seller tiers.

Buyer protection

After buying
